their country to be attacked by the US shouldn’t repeat Trump’s statement—Foad Izadi
A prominent hardline Iranian commentator cautioned that engaging in negotiations with the US would actually heighten the risk of an attack, suggesting that acquiescing to American demands would compromise Iran’s defenses.
According to a report by Iran International, Foad Izadi, a US-educated hardliner and expert on US politics, claims that Washington has held back from attacking Iran because it believes the consequences would be too severe, according to an interview with the conservative Nameh News website.
“Those who do not want their country to be attacked by the United States should not repeat Trump’s statements,” Izadi said.
Washington is reportedly exerting pressure on Iran’s neighboring countries to sever economic ties, with a specific focus on convincing Iraq to stop importing electricity and natural gas from Iran.
